Synchronicity is an ongoing project I began work on almost the moment I moved to New York. After moving from Austin, TX I found New York to be what most people imagine it; manic, intensely ambitious, and always moving at a pace I have still yet to match.

I began making long exposures of my favorite places in the city as a way to take control of things around me. The places I photograph seem to simultaneously occur as one another and appear related but have no real connection. They are merely my interpretation of time slowing around me in order to feel in control of the city that is ever presently not in my control.
